We are the industry a 'crazy idea'. I see all the time in style and coaches with youth athletes. In recent articles, I talked about how some coaches, the word "peak" with their young athletes, and try to provide young people with a particular race or meet at the end of the season climax get.
I also explained the reasons why you can not.
Advanced research methods, such as high definition and is a system that onlymore top athletes and can be determined if, and only then can monitor other physical aspects of sports performance and dynamically adjusted accordingly. Nutrition, sleep / repair factors, mental and emotional stress … These aspects are crucial to the process of equalization.
But here's the problem. The majority of coaches and trainers:
A) I do not know enough about the complexity of the cycle complicated diet, recovery strategies, or mental / emotional stressEasier for them to properly use a system peak.
B) They have the opportunity for a young athlete's life or expected to be nearly enough to coordinate legal organization to integrate all these aspects so important to the process of expansion.
Physical education a young athlete will receive only a part of a broader and more complex puzzle. Another term that we throw everything into a carefree "elite".
I get this question allTime.
"Brian, I like and appreciate your strategies for development, but how do I get faster results with my young athletes."
Here's my answer … It is better to be ready to listen and to receive this message.
Young athletes are not elite.
Without doubt, this is understood the problem to the young athlete entire puzzle.
Just because 14 or 15-years kid is happening in a particular sport and play at a high level of Excel, not necessarily make itCalled "Elite".
The state is reserved for elite athletes, the athletes not only for adults but also for those people whose life revolves around the purpose and success in one sport in particular.
That can not be confused with the desire to succeed – many young athletes, dass But if we have nicknamed the "elite" for a young athlete names that we automatically how to teach them – and this is a huge mistake.
We discourageDevelopment of skills in pushing for strength and power wins immediately. We are looking for the transition from teaching to bring the economy to produce an improvement in the optimal speed.
We forget that athletes are ahead of us, a young body, with the nervous system and structural needs, is the training of all its development is crucial.
Perhaps more importantly, we forget that one of the athletes 'Elite' one in the direction of food is controlled in a critical way. Factors Repairare part of the training protocol. Mental and emotional stress are examined and kept under control.
All these concerns are more interactive in the analysis and account planning tool for the Elite athletes. With children, are almost as good as forgotten.
Here's a look at a typical training of the athletes I have coached:
7 – Wake up and pre-workout meal
8 – Training 1
9 – Meeting of reorganization
10 – Training PostPasto
11 – nap
1 – evening meal
2 – install with the reading and video games
4 – pre-workout meal
5 – Practice 2
7 – after the meal training
9 – B
Now here is a look at a typical day for high school athletes I train:
6 – shower and after
7 – a quick breakfast to go
8 – Education
12 am – Lunch
1 – Classes
3 – Practice or Team Training
5 – Dinner
7 –Homework
11 – B
This is not the life of an elite athlete … This is the life of a normal child.
I do not want you for one second that I do not believe in fixed habits of training for young athletes. I do not want to give the impression that I do not want your young athletes train hard and go to a certain purpose.
But any person who eats 2-4 meals per day, respectively (usually with poor nutrition), is the least sleep, no restoration and is responsiblemental and emotional stress of school can be a friend was often intense, and a full social life is labeled correctly as a super athlete.
Also, you can train like them.
